"Only One Earth"

JUNE 5, 2022

Day 2022

With the slogan “One Only Earth”, the United Nations Environment Program and the Government of Sweden host World Environment Day 2022. Where this celebration will take place 50 years after the first United Nations Conference on the environment, in which the establishment of UNEP was agreed and June 5 of each year was designated as World Environment Day. “Only One Earth” was the motto of that conference held in 1972 and, 50 years later, it is still valid.

About the slogan “Only One Earth”

The slogan “Only One Earth” highlights the need we currently have to live sustainably, in harmony with nature, through substantial changes driven by policies and daily choices that guide us towards cleaner and more ecological lifestyles, with the strong reasoning that human beings are capable of executing these changes to support the sustainable development of future generations.

"Only One Earth"

Earth is facing a triple planetary emergency: the climate is warming at a rate too fast for people and nature to adapt; habitat loss and other pressures on nature have led to an estimated 1 million species being threatened with extinction; and pollution continues to cause changes in our air, land and water. In Evergo we work every day to carry out actions that generate positive footprints in favor of our environment.

In almost two years we have achieved, together with companies and clients, significant results that support our commitment, developing a network of more than 400 charging stations for electric vehicles, present in the 32 provinces of the Dominican Republic, with a presence in Panama, Jamaica and Aruba, and managing to avoid the emission of +600,000 kg of CO2. Soon we will be in more countries.

A goal of all

"Only One Earth"

Help us prevent the emission of

kilograms of CO2

Committed to the SDGs and COP26, Evergo begins a new challenge, a new goal, and to achieve it we need you.

It is scientifically proven that the CO2 emitted by combustion vehicles into the atmosphere is one of the main causes of environmental deterioration and of our ecosystems.

(DECEMBER, 2022)
Avoid the emission of 1,000,000 kg of CO2 into the atmosphere accumulated by December 2022.

connected with the

Sustainable Development Goals (SDG)

As a brand, Evergo has a firm commitment to sustainable and lasting evolution over time, aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals.

The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), adopted by the United Nations in (2015) is a universal call to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure that by 2030 all people enjoy peace and prosperity.

The 17 SDGs are integrated: they recognize that action in one area will affect results in other areas and that development must balance social, economic and environmental sustainability. Countries have committed to prioritizing the progress of those furthest behind.

We are in a global crisis that encompasses various factors of individual and collective development, and it is necessary that we join forces to make a positive mark for the benefit of present and future generations.

SDGs that we directly impact on Evergo:

Objective 9:

Build resilient infrastructure, promote sustainable industrialization and foster innovation

Objective 11:

Make cities more inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable

Objective 13:

Adoptar medidas urgentes para combatir el cambio climático y sus efectos

At Evergo, we work so that our actions leave a positive and lasting impact over time. An example of this is that many of our charging stations are powered by 100% renewable energy.

Global studies indicate that one of the best solutions to combat climate change that is affecting us today is to move towards electric mobility, since the gases produced by combustion vehicles are one of the main causes of pollution worldwide.

Having an electric vehicle means an enormous contribution to the restoration of our environment, and in addition to this, charging said vehicle at a station that is powered by 100% renewable energy, such as, for example, with solar panel infrastructure, the contribution to the environment atmosphere is even greater.
