About electric vehicles

If one connector from a charger is already plugged into a vehicle, can I use the other one?
Although there are two connectors on each Level 3 evergo charger, only one can be used at a time. Having two connectors ensures that it is easy to plug in and more vehicles can be connected depending on the type of plug you have, no matter where your vehicle’s charging port is located. If any of the connectors are in use, it looks for the next closest charger.
How many kilometers can I travel on one charge?
That depends on the car battery’s capacity, how the vehicle is driven, the type of vehicle and the road conditions. For example, a Tesla Model 3 Long Range can run an average of 400 kilometres.
How long does it take to charge a vehicle?
You can charge 80% of the battery using our Level 3 charger in less than an hour. But, of course, this depends on the power level of the charger and the charge level of the battery.
How many kilometres per kilowatt/hour can I go?
7.1 km/kWh, depending on the driver, type of vehicle and road conditions.
Can an electric vehicle be charged from a conventional power socket in a home or business?
Yes, by using the charger that comes with the vehicle. However, since it has a very low output, the charging time would be very long. The duration of a full battery charge could be over 18 hours. This may vary depending on the charger and the battery’s power level.
How many kinds of chargers exist in the Evergo network?
  • Level 2 chargers are charging stations with a 20kW output that take an estimated 5 hours to charge a vehicle from 0 to 80%.
  • Level 3 chargers are fast-charging stations that allow a 0 to 80% charge in under an hour.
Where can vehicles presently be charged?

Today we have over 30 charging locations in Jamaica and another 200 earmarked for installation islandwide in the next two years. Find the one closest to you by clicking here.

Where do I find the charger ID?
There is an ID sticker on the charger. It is easy to find. You will see a barcode that you can scan from your Evergo App, or you can find it underneath the QR code.
What do the labels on the Evergo chargers mean?
We use yellow and green labels to make it easy for the drivers to select the appropriate connector and power level for their electric vehicles. The yellow power level labels are for CCS1 connectors. The green labels indicate CHAdeMO. For example, a yellow label marked “up to 350kW” means the charger offers up to 350kW for a CCS1 compatible electric vehicle. If your EV is incompatible with the indicated maximum charge, the charger will automatically give you the maximum charge it can manage.
If a connector from a charger is plugged into a vehicle, can I use the other connector?
Even though there are two connectors on every Level 3 Evergo charger, only one may be used at a time. Having two connectors makes it easier for more vehicles to charge regardless of the type of connector they require or where their charge ports are located. If one of the connectors is in use, search for the nearest unoccupied charger.
